Dubrovnik – The Leica One Challenge

As usual, the Leica One Challenge was held on the second Saturday in October and this year it it was Dubrovnik which hosted the event, this location being selected by the members who attended last years challenge in Athens. Although Friday and Saturday see most photographers on location, we decided to make the most of the trip and booked a package holiday, which seemed to be more economical than arranging the flight, hotel and transfers ourselves.

The actual Challenge is based on the film days, were each photographer is allowed to take up to 36 images in two hours, having previously declared the camera to be used, together with the focal length of the lens and the ISO value. One photograph is then submitted to the Leica Forum by each photographer and the worldwide membership then votes for the best image. The event is rounded off by dinner on the Saturday evening, plus a vote to decide the location for next year; with Nice, in France being selected for 2024.

I took a Leica M10-r rangefinder camera and 28, 35, 50 and 75mm prime lenses.

Rather than show these images in chronological order I decided to split them into sections, to included Dubrovnik Old Town, the outstanding Coastline, a trip we made into neighbouring Montenegro and then some General images.
